    About us:

    The Retiring Farmer Wealth Management Process is a concept developed from working with farm families across Canada. We are an independent, privately-owned farm family office. If there are two things we understand, it’s farmers and managing wealth.

    We provide farm families with a comprehensive and integrated plan that reduces taxation on the sale of the farm and the tax-efficient transfer of the farm to the next generations, either during the lifetime of a farmer or through their estate.

    Our team acts as the farm family’s personal Chief Financial Officer. Through our specialized team of professional consultants, we are responsible for managing and coordinating all financial affairs of a farm family’s business.

    What We Need:

    We are currently seeking a dynamic and organized Office Administrator to join our team.

    As the Office Administrator at The Retiring Farmer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our day-to-day operations. You will be able to work closely with our team to ensure the efficient and smooth functioning of our office.

    Requirements and Duties:

    • Managing the reception area and greeting clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
    • Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, and transferring calls as needed.
    • Handling incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
    • Maintaining and organizing office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
    • Assisting with scheduling appointments and managing calendars for team members.
    • Providing administrative support for meetings, including preparing materials and taking minutes.
    • Assisting with travel arrangements and expense reporting for staff.
    • Managing and organizing electronic and physical files.
    • Collaborating with team members on special projects and tasks as needed.

    Details regarding compensation will be based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.

    Schedule:

    • Monday to Friday

    Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications is a plus.
    • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Experience with Quickbooks and Salesforce (not required, but an asset)
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
    • Confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
